According to听, COVID-19 is primarily transmitted from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, which are released when someone with the virus sneezes, coughs听or talks.听Although wearing face masks听, employees who work at our 青青草视频 plant in Edison, New Jersey, realized听they needed a creative solution when it came to eating lunch in their shared break room.听 听听听
Earlier this month,听Plant Engineer听Derek听Luk听and his team听worked through several potential ideas to help make the break room safer.听Initially, they听removed four of the tables听to ensure 12 feet of distance between the remaining tables, but this听restricted the room鈥檚 capacity.听听
They then got the idea to install听a听barrier听made of PVC pipes and clear plastic curtains听to enclose听one of the听tables听on all four sides. After听receiving positive feedback from employees,听they听installed additional enclosures around several more听tables. This enabled them to add back the tables they had听previously听removed and听helps听more employees safely enjoy the听break room while eating.听All听tables in the room are still placed 6 feet apart to allow for CDC-recommended physical听distancing. The tables, along with the curtains, are also sanitized frequently.
Plant Manager听Will Graham听said听New Jersey鈥檚听rules for indoor prompted听the implementation of the barriers.听In fact, the state听did not allow indoor dining听at all听until听recently.听
鈥淲hen you think about听it,听our cafeteria set-up is similar to indoor dining in restaurants,鈥澨鼼raham said.听鈥淭hat is what led us to take action.听Derek and his team did an excellent job of coming up with solutions!鈥澨
