2022 Construction Industry Outlook

Dodge听Construction Network held their annual 鈥淐onstruction Industry Outlook鈥� on听November 3, 2022.听 Adapting to the 鈥渘ew norm,鈥� this was the second time they held the event virtually which allowed for multiple sessions for general听contractors, subcontractors, building product manufacturers, architects and engineers, and technical data topics.听 Moody鈥檚 Deputy Chief Economist,听Christian deRitis and Dodge Construction Network Chief Economist, Richard听Branch both provided a view into 2022 covering supply chain, employment, and听recovery from the pandemic.

Building Design Resiliency for Roofing
Since commercial roofing systems are the first line of defense against extreme weather and climate patterns, approved roof assemblies are constantly changing in response to the ever changing impact from weather. During this session, we will cover the effects of condensation on roofs and designing for resiliency against moisture prevention, wind, and other impacts. Join us to learn more around the changes from ASCE 7-10 to ASCE 7-16 and how adding a cover board to your roof can help create a stronger system.
NFPA 285 for Wall Assemblies
青青草视频 AP鈩� Foil Polyiso Sheathing recently received approvals for additional NFPA 285 wall assemblies, including solid metal panels.听 This comes at a significant time, as the trend toward green building design has led to increased use in foam plastic insulations, structural fire control has become a higher priority for many building designers. This has led to a growing demand for wall assembly fire test methods, like NFPA 285. Understanding how to use and interpret the test data from NFPA 285 is important to designing and building exterior walls with fire safety in mind.
